Artemis Fowl and the Eternity Code

That is right, I have my books!

My latest from the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer. This is the third book in the series, where Artemis tries to sell fairy technology to the ruthless and shady Business man Jon Spiro and it’s safe to say that hings don’t quite go according to plan.

So the first drawing is after Butler gets shot by Blunt. Artemis freezes Butler using cryogenic equipment from Ice Age Cryogenics, then makes a call using a mountain of buzz words to attract the attention of the LEP. The LEP send Captain Holly Short who finds a distressed Artemis in the back of a van in Harley Street.

The second is from the end. After an agreement with the LEP, Artemis, Butler and Juliet are about to have their minds wiped of all knowledge of fairies. In an ’emotional’ goodbye, Artemis give Mulch a disc, disguised as the coin Holly gave Artemis is book two (see Artemis Fowl and the Arctic Incident for a picture of this scene) in a final attempt to get his memories back.

Artemis Fowl and the Arctic Incident by Eoin Colfer

My latest drawings are from the second Artemis Fowl book, Artemis Fowl and the Arctic Incident by the amazing writer, Eoin Colfer. After kidnapping the LEPrecon fairy, Captain Holly Short, Goblins are found smuggling batteries in a shuttle built from recycled components. After the kidnapping, it’s inevitable that Short assumes the Human contact is Artemis Fowl. When they figure out it isn’t him, they have to stop the goblin revolution and save Artemis’ father before it’s too late.

The first picture is from straight after stopping Opal Koboi. Artemis climbed through the plasma of the inactive DNA cannons to get into Opal’s lair. These were radioactive though so he had to be sprayed with anti-rad foam as soon as possible. Of course Holly, who still held a grudge against Artemis, relished the opportunity to humiliate him and sprayed him with the anti-rad canister, thinking ‘Who said there were no perks in law enforcement?’.

The second is set right at the end of the book, after they had rescued Artemis’ father from the mafiya. Holly escorted Artemis and Butler to Tara, and as a thank you for saving her finger and as a reminder that below his devious nature, even Artemis Fowl has a spark of decency inside him, she shoots a hole through the centre of the coin and gives it to him.

If you enjoy these, you should read the books…

Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer

So here is my latest batch of drawings from the first book of the amazing Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer. I’ve been going through a criminal mastermind phase at the moment, first HIVE, now Artemis Fowl.

I’ve decided to go right back to the start for these. The first drawing is Holly’s first encounter with Artemis. It is set after a disastrous mission for Captain Holly Short of the LEP as her magic ran out. Holly is ordered to go refill by doing the ritual in Ireland which involves taking an acorn from an ancient oak, and planting it elsewhere. Unfortunately for her though, she chooses to go to the one ancient oak that young criminal master mind, Artemis Fowl II, is staking out, looking for fairies. She ends up being kidnapped and held to ransom by Artemis. The second drawing is set in the cell Holly is being kept prisoner in. It is her first conversation with Artemis. In both pictures, it may seem a bit strange that the humans are wearing sunglasses, but it is to avoid being hypnotised by Holly’s mesmer.

These books really are amazing, so if you like my drawings, you should really check the books out. Enjoy…
