Percy Jackson and the Titan’s Curse by Rick Riordan

Back to book three in the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan, Percy Jackson and the Titan’s Curse. This drawing here has taken be 2 months, and nearly 100 hours with planning, drafting, drawing, fine-lining and colouring, and I am SOOOOO proud of it. It is unlike anything I have done before as it is A3 to get the gods at the appropriate sizes. Unfortunately, even with A3, I couldn’t fit Ares and Aphrodite in. I’ve done it as similar as possible to the descriptions given in the book. I hope you all love this as much as I do.

This is set after the fight on Mount Tam, and after Zoe Nightshade’s (Artemis’ Lieutenant) death. It is set at the council of the gods on the winter solstice….

WM - Percy Jackson and the Titan's Curse - Thalia becomes Artemis' Lieutenant - 06.04.2015
Artemis and Annabeth have been freed and the demigods have made it to the council of the gods on the winter solstice. Once they get there, they discuss whether or not they should kill Bessie the ophiotaurus (which could be a dangerous weapon in the wrong hands). They also discuss the fates of Percy and Thalia who are demigods of the eldest gods, Poseidon and Zeus. Athena says they should be killed as they are too dangerous, but Artemis insists that they should reward the demigods who did the Olympians such a great service otherwise they are no better than the titans. In the end, they aren’t killed, and Thalia chooses to be Artemis’ lieutenant and become a Hunter, so that she would not turn sixteen the next day, and that the great prophecy would not be hers to fulfill. Here Thalia is making the Hunter’s Oath, to stay an eternal maiden.
